One thing Ontu forgot to mention that is, your father is 86 years old and may not be capable for doing a long road journey.
So, I think it is better to fly from CCU to DAC by air india or Regent Airways (both are cheap) then you rent a "more comfortable" room paying some "extra" in a world class hotel like Le meridian near Airport.
Then you call the hotel peope to arrange a car (rental service) from your hotel to Rajbari. It will take 3500 taka highest.
Then after you reach you check in hotel Asia in Rajbari and start your journey steady.
I just don't want you cost more money by travelling in the air but I am considering your fathers health condition. Please don't get me wrong.
